Use
In this process step you can define the semantic attributes of expert profile elements.
A semantic attribute is an action that you can perform from the hit list or detail screen, for example, Send E-Mail. This enables the individual looking for knowledge to make contact with an expert directly from the hit list.
You must define the value of the executable action in the form of a URL. You can define up to three executable actions for the semantic attribute of an expert profile element. The URL is determined dynamically by the browser and is displayed in the hit list or on the detail screen as a hyperlink.
In the following process step Define Expert Profile Elements, you assign the expert profile element and semantic attribute.
Standard settings
In the SAP standard system, the model entries Web Address and E-Mail are available. We recommend that you adopt these entries.
Activities
Should you want to store any other entries, proceed as follows:
- Perform activity Define Semantic Attributes and select New Entries.
- Define a semantic attribute and its name.
- Define an Action, the corresponding icon, and a name.
Note: If you want to define several contact options, you must select more than one icon.
Example
Define expert profile element Internal Mail Address.
The semantic attribute of the expert profile element is E-Mail. The action for this semantic attribute is Send E-Mail . To ensure that this action can be performed, you must enter a valid value, that is a correct e-mail address, in the hyperlink.
