Use
In this Implementation Guide (IMG), you make the necessary Customizing settings to define the process flow in SAP Expert Finder.
The IMG is divided into the following sections:
- Basic Settings
- Further Settings
- Cyclic Activities
The Basic Settings section contains all steps that are required for defining objects in SAP Expert Finder. This includes maintaining expert profile elements, expert profile types, and search queries.
In this section, you also define expert communities and assign persons or users to expert communities.
In the Further Settings section, you make the settings needed for setting up and installing the search engine, the LDAP interface, and the existing user exits.
The Cyclic Activities section describes different reports that you can perform for the following purposes or have to schedule as a batch job:
- Indexing documents
- Updating the data set in the Expert Finder system
- Transferring input help from external systems
- Cleaning up the data set
For more detailed information, see the documentation for the individual process steps or the SAP Library, under Personnel Management -> SAP Expert Finder.
