Use

In this IMG activity, you assign processes to one or more process groups to perform the collision check for these processes.

In doing so, you determine for the processes that they may not collide with running processes of the specified process group. You can also determine that the processes may not collide with closed processes of the specified process group.

You also determine whether the system displays an information, warning, or error message if a collision occurs.

Requirements

In the previous IMG activity, you have created appropriate process groups, assigned processes to them and indicated these processes as relevant for the collision check.

Standard settings

Activities

  1. For each process, enter the process group that contains the processes for which a process collision is not permitted.
  2. For each process, enter how the system responds if a collision occurs. The following settings exist in the standard system:
    • Information
      • A message appears drawing the users attention to the collision. The process can still be run.
    • Warning
      • A message appears warning the user that he or she has accessed a process that is not permitted. The process can still be run.
    • Error
      • An error message appears. The process cannot be run.
  3. If required, set the Include Closed Processes in Collision Check indicator.
