Use
In this IMG activity, you define the categories of the Digital Personnel File (DPF). In this context, categories are groupings of archived documents that belong together from a business point of view. They are used for the preparation of a content structuring of the DPF with regard to the display of these documents.
The categories defined here take on the function of the Connection Parameter when the element types for archived documents are defined in the IMG activity Define Element Types.
Archived documents have their own document types. In the IMG activity Assign Document Types to Category, you can assign archived documents to certain categories using these document types. For example, you can store archived documents with the document type Written Application and documents with the document type Resume in the Application Documents category.
Requirements
Standard settings
The following categories are predefined in the standard system:
- Certificates (CERT)
- General Information (GEN)
- Application Documents (JOBA)
- Legal Documents (LEGA)
- Remuneration (REMU)
Activities
When using the sample record model and when using your own record model:
- You can use the predefined categories. If these categories are not sufficient for your requirements or you want to use other categories, you can define your own categories.
- To define your own categories, specify a value of your choice with a maximum of four digits in the Category column. In the Name column, specify a corresponding category name of your choice.
Note:
When you use categories that have just been created, make sure that you enter these categories as the connection parameter for the element types used for archived documents (see IMG activity Define Element Types).
