Use

In this IMG activity, you assign document types of archived documents to a category. You can also link the document type with an infotype or subtype. In this way, you ensure that all archived documents with a certain document type and (if necessary) with the infotype or subtype selected here are always displayed by the system under the model node of the Digital Personnel File (DPF) that corresponds to the category assigned here.

Requirements

When using your own record model:

  • You have created the desired categories in the IMG activity Define Categories of DPF.
  • You have created a corresponding model node for each category in the IMG activity Create or Change Record Model.
  • You have linked the categories with the corresponding element types in the IMG activity Define Element Types.

Standard settings

Activities

When using either the sample record model or your own record model:

  1. In the Document Type column, use the value help to select the required document type.
  2. If you want to link an infotype or subtype with the selected document type, use the value help to select an infotype in the Infotype column and a subtype in the Subtype column, if necessary.
  3. Use the value help in the Category column to select the category to which you want to assign the selected document type.

Example

You link the Qualification document type with the Qualifications infotype (0024) and assign them to a Final Certificates category. All archived documents of the document type Qualification that belong to the infotype 0024 are then displayed by the system in the DPF under the previously created Final Certificates model node.
