Use
In this IMG activity, you create the constants of the digital personnel file (DPF). The constant entries are based on the following two parameters of SAP Records Management (RM) that are used by the DPF:
- Records Management System (RMS)
- Element Type for Records
The definition of RMS and Element Type for Records is part of the necessary prerequisites in SAP Records Management. As the DPF requires only one RMS and one Element Type for Records, you specify these parameters in Customizing as constants.
The parameter DPF_RMS identifies the separated sector for the DPF in RM. The parameter DPF_ETYPE identifies the element type for records that is used in the DPF. Based on this element type, you can add elements to records without having to include technical information (such as RFC destination). This information is already stored in the element type.
Requirements
Standard settings
The standard system contains the following values:
- Parameter DPF_RMS: Value ASR_DPF
- Parameter DPF_ETYPE: Value ASR_SPS_RECORD
Activities
When using the sample record model:
- Do not change the default values.
When using your own record model:
- Parameter DPF_RMS: Do not change the value of the RMS.
- Parameter DPF_ETYPE: Change the value of the Element Type for Records and store the name of an element type that you then create in the IMG activity Define Element Types.
