Use
In this unit, you determine which processes the HR administrator can use on the user interface of the start application.
Display of Processes Without Specific Restrictions (Simple Customizing)
You enter the desired processes using the IMG activity Specify Valid Processes for Start Application. Processes stored in this way are then permanently available to the HR administrator.
You can also influence the display and behavior of the processes by making additional Customizing settings.
Display of Processes Depending on The Employee Grouping of The Selected Employee
You can control the display of the processes such that the HR administrator can perform only those processes for an employee that are relevant for the employee because the employee belongs to a certain employee grouping. For employees in different countries, for example, it is possible to display the processes that are relevant for each country. To do this, you must assign the employees to an employee grouping and then assign the relevant processes to this employee grouping.
To control the display of processes depending on the respective employee grouping, you must perform the following IMG activity:
- Define Object Groups for Processes
You define the employee groupings to which you want to assign certain processes.
- Determine Employee Groupings for Process Selection
You determine the respective employees that belong to an employee grouping.
- Specify Group-Dependent Process Selection for Start Application
You determine for the HR administrator which processes are available on the user interface when an employee in a certain employee group has been selected.
Display of Processes Using Process Groups
You can control the processes displayed on the user interface by using process groups. To do this, create the required process groups and assign processes to them. You can then determine for each process in a group whether the process is displayed on the user interface.
To control the display of processes depending on the respective process group, you must perform the following IMG activity:
- Define Process Groups
You define the process groupings in which you want to group together processes for display on the user interface.
- Group Processes for UI Control and Collision Check
You assign processes to the process groupings and determine for each process whether it is displayed on the user interface.
Collision Check
You can determine for each process whether it is part of a collision check. The system checks whether it is permitted to call certain processes when another process has already been called. Depending on the settings, messages appear if a call is not permitted and it is no longer possible to perform the called process.
To be able to use the collision check, you must perform the following IMG activities:
- Group Processes for UI Control and Collision Check
You determine which processes are involved in collision checks.
- Link Processes with Process Groups for Collision Check
You determine which process calls result in collisions and how the system should then respond.
- Permit Parallel Running of Process
You determine which processes can be called multiple times. In the standard system, if you call a process several times, an error message appears. You can suppress this system response. Settings made in this IMG activity do not override the settings that were made for a collision check.
