Use

You can use the Application Log: Delete Expired Logs program (transaction SLG2) to delete logs that are no longer required from the application log.

Error messages created when the HCM Processes and Forms functions were executed are saved in the application log. These are stored under the HRAS object.

Note

Not all error messages that are stored in the application log were displayed on the user interface.

The system writes messages in the application log in the following areas:

  • Processing a form in a process step (subobject FORMPROC)
    • When executed by a user
    • When executed in the background
  • Working with the Digital Personnel File (subobject DPF)

The system saves the messages without an expiration date in the application log. You can use the deletion program at any time to delete these messages.
