Use
In this IMG activity, you define the Pension conversion factor in accordance with the relevant pay scale area and pension insurance fund (salaried employees/workers or miners' insurance) and in compliance with the relevant legal requirements.
The conversion factor is used to convert pension points into contributions and, like the current pension values, it is defined by law.
By paying the calculated contributions (capital amount) to the respective employer, any reduction in pension payments (in accordance with Section § 57 of the German Public Sector Pensions Act (BeamtVG)) by a public sector employee or a retired public sector employee is then fully or partly cleared (Section § 58 BeamtVG: Preventing a Reduction in Pension Payments).
Note:
Pension points = justified amount/current pension value when a marriage ends
Capital amount = pension points * conversion factor (for the pension equalization payment into the legal pension insurance fund on the day when the family court makes its decision)
