Use
In this Customizing activity, you enter the filter ABFI for your model for the special payment for public sector employees (as of 2004) and for the newly created model for the special bonus for public sector employees (up to 2003). In this way, you enable these models to be used within the severance pay calculation.
Activities
Create a new entry for the filter ABFI for your existing model for the special payment for active public sector employees and for the model for the special bonus for active public sector employees that you created in the preceding Customizing activity Assign Model for Special Bonus to Your Grouping for PS Employees. You create the model for the special bonus with the validity start date of January 1, 1900 and the validity end date of December 31, 2003. Alternatively, you can enter the end date of the validity period in accordance with your public service regulations. You create the model for the special payment with the validity start date of January 1, 2004 and the validity end date of December 31, 9999. Alternatively, you can enter the start date for the special payment as the start date of the validity period in accordance with your public service regulations.
These entries for filter ABFI are essential for two reasons:
In this way, you ensure that the model for the special bonus is called only in the calculation of the severance pay and not in the real payroll run, irrespective of the fact that it is only valid until the end of 2003.
In the function module for calculating the special payment, this filter value specifies that the payment affects all twelve months for the severance pay calculation.
