Use

In this IMG activity, you specify whether and how you want to implement electronic confirmation of participation in the Learning Portal of the SAP Learning Solution. You do so using the switch HRLSO ESIGND. The following values are allowed and apply to all course types:

  • If you leave the value blank, no electronic confirmation of participation is used in the Learning Portal.
  • If you enter 1, participants must confirm course participation in the Learning Portal on completion of a course. The following applies:
    • Participation in a time-independent course (e.g. WBT) must be confirmed as soon as the learner completes the course.
    • Participation in time-dependent courses (e.g. classroom training) can be confirmed any time after the last day of the course.

Learners set courses to 'completed' in the Learning Portal on the details screen of the participation booking.

  • If you enter 2, the meaning is similar to 1 with the additional stipulation that confirmation requires the learner's digital signature. This means that the learner must enter a password for the Learning Portal when setting a course to completed. If the password is authenticated, a digital signature is generated and participation has been successfully confirmed.

Note

The value stored in the Electronic Confirmation of Participation infotype (5044) is valid for the course type for which it is maintained. This value overrides any other entries stored in Customizing Switch On Electronic Confirmation ofParticipation.
