Use
In this IMG activity, you create more text variables. Text variables are used in request-based correspondencez to enable access to business data. They serve as placeholders for this data in the form layout (e.g. recipient's address, recipient's e-mail address).
Text variables are used in the form classes of the Print Workbench. They enable the Print Workbench to access the data of the SAP Learning Solution.
Requirements
Standard settings
The standard SAP system contains a large number of standard text variables, which you can use in your forms.
Activities
To create your own customer text variables:
- On the screen Change View: Maintenance View for Text Variables , choose New Entries.
- Enter data as required for the following:
- Text variable
- Text variable name
- Read class
- If required, set the required indicator to specify that text variable content is mandatory.
- Structure name
You can store documentation for each customer text variable. To do so, use HR documentation maintenance (PDSY). Use the documentation class Learning Solution Text Variables ( LSOTX) for the text variable documentation you want to create. For detailed information about documentation maintenance, see the transaction documentation under Help -> Application Help.
