In this step, you specify editor reactions when notes are changed. In the entry SEMIN EVATX, you can specify whether existing notes are protected from change or not:
SEMIN EVATX = 0: existing notes are not protected
SEMIN EVATX = 1: existing notes are protected from change
Background
Notes can consist of one or more individual versions or entries. When you create a note for the first time, you create the first entry. When you later change a note, you add a new entry to the existing ones. In Change mode, all of the previously created entries are displayed and the note is ready for input. The setting of the switch SEMIN EVATX determines whether you can change the existing entries of the note or not.
Standard settings
In the standard system, notes are protected (SEMIN EVATX = 1).
Activities
If you want to protect existing notes, do not change the system default.
If you want to allow changes, deactivate the protection switch by setting SEMIN EVATX to 0.
Note
Any notes that were created while the protection was active cannot be changed even by deactivating the switch.
