In this step, you assign attributes to the pay categories you defined in the previous step.

This allows you to define pay categories so that you can compare internal payments with market data, and calculate the pay categories of employees when participating in salary surveys.

You must have defined your pay categories.

Activities

  1. Execute the activity.
  2. In the subsequent dialog box, enter the desired pay category that you previously defined (see Prerequisites).
  3. Select New Entries.
  4. You must make entries in the following fields:
    • CGrpg: Country Grouping (for example, 10 = US, 08 = GB etc.)
    • WTGr: Group of Wage Types for Pay Category Compensation
    • Method Begin Date: Method for Determining Begin Date from Key Date
    • Method End Date: Method for Determining End Date from Key Date
  5. Save your entries.
  6. Repeat these steps (as required) for each Pay Category.
