In this step, you maintain the attributes of compensation plans by:
- Assigning eligibility and guideline variants.
- Defining rounding rules for both salaried employees and hourly paid workers.
- Setting a link to the Personnel Cost Planning and Simulation component (PA-CP) by assigning the selected compensation plan to the relevant cost item.

Requirements
You must have performed the following activities:
- Define Compensation Plans
- Define Eligibility Rule Variants (optional)
- Define Guideline Variants (optional)
If you want to link compensation plans to cost items, you must also have implemented the Personnel Cost Planning and Simulation component (PA-CP) successfully.
Standard settings
The SAP System is shipped with predefined settings that you can change to meet your company-specific requirements.
Recommendation
Activities
- Select the relevant compensation area.
- Click New entries.
- Select the relevant compensation plan.
- Delimit your record.
- Select an eligibility variant and a guideline variant if applicable.
- You can define a rounding rule to apply to the amount the line manager has entered manually in Manager Self-Service or that has been calculated automatically on applying the relevant guideline.
For salary adjustments, you can define different rounding rules for both hourly paid workers and salaried employees. - Specify a reference currency for the rounding amount.
- Assign the compensation plan to the relevant cost item, if applicable.
- Save your entries.
- Repeat the previously mentioned steps for any further compensation plans.
