Use
In this Customizing activity, you can create and maintain user-specific profiles of the planning table. You can define several profiles for one user to set a special focus.
In the profile, you can define display options, tolerance ranges, and the distribution mode.
Display Options
- Planning Views
Choose the planning view with which you want to enter the application. Additionally, you can select a planning procedure (top down, bottom up, all planning-relevant objects) and the respective hierarchical displays of the planning data.
Hide Views: Select an additional subview if you want to hide it, for example, for reasons of clarity.
Planning Horizon
- Relative Planning Horizon
- The planning horizon specifies the number of days, weeks or months for which your planning is to be valid. For the relative planning horizon, you specify a certain time frame that moves as a whole in relation to the current date. It does not matter if the planning period is exclusively in the past (for example, to compare planning values) or in the future. If you want to plan as of today, you have to enter '0' in the relevant field or leave it blank.
- Absolute Planning Horizon
- Here you can enter an exact date. The planning horizon remains fixed.
- Level of Network Structure
Choose the displayed hierarchy level of the planned network.
- Information Displayed in Planning Table
Choose whether you want to display the information as ID or description for the network object node and the allocation material.
- Quantities to be Compared
Choose whether you want to compare the planned quantity or the allocation quantity per default in the different planning views.
- Difference Display
Determine the display mode of the difference of the compared values, for example, planned quantities, allocation quantities, and actual quantities, or define whether the difference is displayed at all in the planning table.
Tolerances
You can define a certain tolerance range for the comparison of your planned, allocated, and actual values per view. You can use the several combinations. For each view, you can define a tolerance range. You can set the allowed deviation from the comparison value in both directions, positive and negative:
- Uncritical Values
Uncritical values can be set freely. Enter a tolerance range that does not have a main impact on your planning situation.
- Critical Values
The benchmark data of the critical tolerance range must not be smaller than that of the uncritical one. Critical values can be set freely as well. If a value is out of the tolerance range, it is highlighted in yellow in the planning table for warning purposes.
- Very Critical Values
Very critical values harm your planning. It is not possible to operate with such figures that are out of the critical tolerance range. In the planning table, they are highlighted in red.
Distribution Mode
If you decide to do your planning in cumulated periods, here you can choose how to distribute the quantities in daily buckets:
- Equal Distribution of Total Quantities
The entered planning value is distributed equally over all days of the period. The disaggregation levels the total value over the period. Individual differences between certain days of the periods will be lost.
- Equal Distribution of Difference Quantities
The difference delta (quantity delta) between the entered and the old planning value is distributed over all days of the period. The disaggregation levels the total change of the period. Individual differences between the days are kept but smoothed.
- Proportional Distribution
While comparing the entered planning value with the old one, the daily values are adjusted proportionally to the change of the aggregated value. In this way, individual differences between certain days of the period can be kept.
