Use
You can use the environment parameters to control processes in EH&S. For dangerous goods management, the following environment parameters among others are relevant.
Notes
Parameter management also contains parameters for other EH&S components (for example, Product Safety). You can find the relevant documentation in the corresponding area of Customizing.
Example
DG_DISTRIBUTION_SAVE ALE: IDoc update
DG_DISTRIBUTION_PACK ALE: Specify packet size
DG_FILLING_PACK Filling: Specify packet size
DG_SUPPRESS_PHR_CHECK ALE/Filling: Switch off phrase verification
Further notes
- DG_DISTRIBUTION_SAVE
Set the parameter to the value 'X' if you want the IDoc to be transferred to the application when dangerous goods master data is distributed even if not all the dangerous goods masters are correct. We do not recommend this procedure when dangerous goods masters are distributed using the change pointer.
- DG_DISTRIBUTION_PACK
For this parameter, specify the value for the packet size you require. The system uses the packet size to determine the number of dangerous goods masters for which an IDoc is created for distribution.
- DG_FILLING_PACK
For this parameter, specify the value for the packet size you require. The system uses the packet size to determine the number of dangerous goods masters for which filling is carried out. Choose a value greater than 1 for this parameter.
- DG_SUPPRESS_PHR_CHECK
Set the parameter to the value 'X' if you want to switch off phrase verification during distribution and filling. This significantly improves performance. You should only set the parameter value to 'X' if the filling and distribution results can be trusted, in other words if all the phrases used in the dangerous goods master exist and are assigned to the correct phrase sets.
- DG_FILLING_PHRASE_GROUP
For this parameter, enter the phrase group you want to display on the Dangerous Goods Master: Filling from Specification Management screen as the default value. You can overwrite your chosen default phrase group in the dialog box. Make sure you enter a phrase group that exists; no check is run for this in Customizing.
