In this Customizing activity, you define and activate the release parameters. You specify the initial release status depending on the role category and the role type.

The release status allows you to control whether you want to exclude the person who initiates a release from the release:
Status: '44', '33', '22' and '11' ... The initiator is authorized to release.
Status: '43', '32' and '21' ... The initiator is not authorized to release. When a transaction is created, this is considered the first release.
Example
For role category 1000 (Treasury Partner), you want the system to require release by 2 employees.
To do this, choose 'New entries' and enter role category 1000, choose release status 22 and select 'active'.
Requirements
You must have activated the release using release object BPAR in Customizing activity 'Activate Release'.
Activities
Enter a role category by choosing 'New entries', select a release status and select the 'active' field.

No release parameters are defined in the standard settings.
