Use

BI reports can synchronously report on data in the FIN-MDM source system by means of virtual access. In particular, data of unreleased editions can be analyzed in this way.

In the FIN-MDM source system, the virtual extraction can be adjusted in Customizing to meet customer requirements.

Requirements

Standard settings

The following applies for data model 0G: On the BI system, the info objects of the virtual reports are aligned to the Customizing of the FIN-MDM source system. The necessary Customizing on the FIN-MDM system is stored under Master Data Governance -> Master Data Governance for Financials -> Reports.

The info objects created in the BI system are located in the delivered Web Templates:

  • 0TPLI_FMD_MP11_Q0002
  • 0TPLI_FMD_MP06_Q0002
  • 0TPLI_FMD_MP05_Q0002
  • 0TPLI_FMD_MP07_Q0002
  • 0TPLI_FMD_MP09_Q0002
  • 0TPLI_FMD_MP08_Q0002
  • 0TPLI_FMD_MP10_Q0002

Activities

Make the following settings in the Customizing activities under Master Data Governance -> Master Data Governance for Financials -> Reports:

  • Assignment of info objects from BI to entity attributes in FIN-MDM for a particular data model
  • Values returned to BI, which are created from several entity sets

The set operations Inner Join, Outer Join and No Join are available to you for creating the return values.

Example

For the virtual BI report Company, you defined an additional info object for the PO box of an address in the BI Query (for example, ZFMD_POBOX) and included it in the corresponding BI Query. On FIN-MDM pages, the PO_BOX field exists in the address information.

For the entry Company, you assign the info object ZFMD_POBOX to the attribute PO_BOX.
