Use
In this and the following IMG activities, you make settings required for generating official document numbers in Italy. By law, official document numbers must be:
- Chronological by posting date
- Consecutive without any gaps, by number group
Requirements
In addition to the activities below Official Document Numbering for Italy, you also need to:
- Activate the use of official document numbers, by setting the corresponding indicator in the activity Maintain Central Settings for Posting.
- Specifiy which document types the system is to assign official document numbers to, in the activity Define Document Types for Official Document Number Assignment.
- Assign installation-specific function modules to events as follows, in the activity Define Customer-Specific Function Modules: assign FKK_EVENT_1190_IT to event 1190, FKK_EVENT_1191_IT to event 1191, and FKK_EVENT_1192_IT to event 1192.
Standard settings
Activities
In this IMG activity, you create number groups, which represent a specific number range and are used to group certain documents together with consecutive official document numbers without any gaps in the numbering.
In most cases, you create at least two number groups - to group documents that are reported on a monthly and quarterly basis.
In subsequent steps, you then define a number range for each number group, and assign a number group to each combination of company code, document type, and reporting frequency that you require.
