Use

In this Customizing activity, you can integrate the Shared Services Framework (SSF) for Financials and Master Data Governance by integrating the service request (SSF) and the change request (MDG).

Once you complete this integration, users can create a change request directly from the service request UI. The change requests processing logs are also integrated into the service request so that users can track the status of an open request.

This document describes the settings that you need to make to facilitate this.

Activities

You need to complete the following activities to facilitate this integration:

  1. Activate the integration of the service request and the change request. You can do so in Activate Service Request and Change Request Integration
  2. Create a new workflow template. To create a new workflow template, you should copy the workflow template that you are using for MDG, for example, WS75700040 or WS75700027. In this example, WS75700040 is used. To copy the template, you need to:
    1. Open the Workflow Bui;lder (transaction SWDB)
    2. Enter WS75700040, press enter and choose Workflow, then Save as to save the template as a new template.
    3. For each workflow step that you want the system to update the service request with the change request's processing logs , you need to add the class CL_IM_SSC_WF_SR_UPDATE to the Program Exit tab. For example, you could add the class to the following steps for the WS75700040 workflow:

  • 000047 Execution of Changes
  • 000068 Final Check
  • 000288 Revision After Rejection
  • 000298 Activate Changes
  1. After you have done this, click the Transfer and to graphic to transfer the changed step to the workflow and to return to the workflow graphic. Save and activate the workflow.

  1. After you create the workflow, you need to define the workflow step numbers in Define Workflow Step Number. You need to copy the original workflow step numbers (that belong to the template that you copied in the previous step) and enter your new (copied) workflow template for the corresponding workflow step numbers. Save.
  2. Create a new RFC destination for the CRM system as follows:
    1. Use transaction SM59 to create an RFC destination for the CRM system. Do not use your current user as the log on user.
    2. Create a logical system for CRM in Define Logical System.
    3. Define the relationship between the logical system and the RFC destination. You can do so in Determine RFC Destinations for Method Calls.
  3. Finally you need to create an implementation of the Retrieve RFC destination for CRM RFC invocation (SSC_RFC_DESTINATION) BAdI definition in which you define the logical system for CRM.
