In this activity, you use the planning tool with which you can create plan tasks.
Working with the planning tools allows you to create a plan task in one step, to make default settings for this plan task, and to carry out planning. It thus provides an alternative to the individual steps in which you first create a planning layout, define a plan task, and insert a plan profile before completely your planning. Note however that the Report Painters functions are limited in this planning tool.
Working with the planning tool is especially effective if you do not want to create complex planning layouts (such as planning layouts with formula rows).
You have the following options:
- You can select the characteristics for your planning.
- You can select the key figures (currencies and amounts) for your planning.
- You can define the entry screen for planning.
- You can complete your planning.

Activities
- Create your plan task using the planning tool.
The individual steps are displayed on the screen when carrying out planning. Select the information button for details on the desired section.
- Save your plan task.
- Carry out planning. In the navigation area, select a plan task in the Plan task area and choose Plan.
