Use

In this IMG activity, you define market data areas.

The system checks the user's authorization for the relevant market data area (authorization object F_BAF4_MDC) for all activities that relate to the data of a market data area. If you want to display or change data for a specific market data area, you need the appropriate authorization for that market data area.

Note: You must have created at least one market data area. You must create a market data area if you want to define rate/price categories and translation ratios for translating currency, and editing reference interest rates and yield curves.

Activities

  1. If you have already created market data areas, the system displays a list of these. If you want to create new market data areas, choose New Entries.
  2. Enter an ID and description for the market data area.
  3. Enter a master market data area for the market data area. The Customizing settings for market data (for example, exchange rate categories, reference interest rates, security price categories) are taken from the master market data area. The master market data area is a market data area that is not dependent on any other market data area.
  4. If required, set the Public Market Data Area indicator. Recommendation: Designate just one market data area as the public market data area. If you flag more than one market data area as public, this can result in ambiguous definitions for reference interest rates and exchange rate categories.
  5. If you want to define that yield curves can be used for intraday rates, specify a time zone.
  6. Save your entries.
