To improve performace, it makes sense to remove all asset documents eligible for reorganization from the R/3 online database before the euro changeover. Therefore, you should carry out an archiving run for Asset Accounting before you start the changeover package. Reloading archived data after the changeover is not permitted.

Note

The system archives only data that can be reorganized (that is, deactivated assets). Therefore, archiving is not intended as a data backup.

In reports on archived data, the system displays the field with the decimal places of the original currency. For example, if you archived Italian lira, the data is displayed with two decimal places after the euro changeover.

Activities

  1. Start the archiving run for Asset Accounting.
  2. Reorganize the archived data.
