This step enables you to change data selection fields and data output fields for the Who's Who (PZ35) service. The fields in the InfoSet of the underlying InfoSet Query are available for this purpose. Note, however, that text fields - with the exception of the Organizational unit text, Position name, and Job title fields - cannot be used for data selection.
You have the following options:
- You can determine fields for selecting an employee.
- You can determine fields for the hit list, that is, a list of all employees who satisfy the selection criteria.
- You can determine fields for the detail screen of the employee selected.
All selected fields are transferred automatically to the service in the order that you determined. They can then be used for selection and output.
Example
Requirements
Standard settings
The standard system includes an InfoSet for the service. The selection and output fields have been set up already.
Recommendation
Activities
- In the Field selection valid for group box, select the required Country grouping and Who's Who type. Then choose Open field selection.
- Check that the standard settings meet your requirements.
- If you want to change the standard settings, proceed as follows:
- Select the appropriate tab page:
- To change selection fields, select the Selection fields tab page.
- To change fields in the hit list, select the Output fields list tab page.
- To change fields on the detail screen, select the Output fields detail tab page.
- If you want to delete a preset field, select it on the appropriate tab page and choose Delete line from display table.
- If you want to include an additional InfoSet field, select it from the Fields in InfoSet group box and select Copy entry from InfoSet table. You now have two options:
- You select an existing field on the tab page and choose Insert entry in display table. The system copies the InfoSet field in front of the selected entry.
- You select the empty field at the end of the tab page and choose Insert entry in display table. The system copies the InfoSet field to the end of the tab page.

- If you want to include a new field that does not appear in the InfoSet, you must create a new InfoSet. You then assign the required field to this InfoSet. In the Determine available fields group box, use the InfoSet field to select the new InfoSet. To include the field in the appropriate tab page, follow the instructions above.
- On the Output fields list tab page, you can use the Sort field to determine the sort sequence in the hit list.
- Once you have completed your modification, choose Check display table. If the check finds no errors, save your changes by choosing Save. If the check finds errors, a system message is displayed to indicate and explain the inconsistencies.
Further notes
- Runtime problems can arise under certain conditions, especially when data is selected. In such circumstances, you are advised to set the Fast search for persons indicator in the Determine available fields group box. As a result, InfoSet Query is no longer used. The BAPI_EMPLOYEE_GETDATA method is used instead.
The Fast determination of data indicator enables you to switch the hit list and detail screen to the BAPI_EMPLOYEE_GETDATA method.
Note that setting an indicator restricts field selection on the tab page to the method interface.
If both indicators are set, you can transport the settings. To write all of the entries in tables T77WWW_WHO_PARA and T77WWW_WHO_SRD to a transport request, use SM30.
- If you enter a country in the initial screen for which values have not been determined, the system defaults to the standard settings for country grouping 'USA'. You can then edit this entry in accordance with your requirements.
- Fields on the Output fields detail tab page selected from infotypes 0032 Internal Control and 0105 Communication determine the fields that are available in the Change Own Data service (PZ50).
