This step enables you to set up the Personal Picture MiniApp.

Activities

  • To determine whether or how a picture is displayed in the MiniApp area intended for this purpose, select the appropriate field.
    • You can prevent this area from being used at all.
    • You can specify a picture or graphic to be displayed for the whole enterprise.
      • To do so, enter the required URL.
    • You can allow employees to enter their own settings for this area.
      • Enter the URL of a default picture. Employees can replace this picture with their own. The default picture is displayed if an employee does not set up his or her own picture.
  • Determine whether a birthday greeting is displayed in the MiniApp when an employee logs on on his or her birthday.

    Enter a text for the greeting in each required language. Save each text.

    You can formulate the texts so that the ESS user's name and form of address are displayed. To do so, use the following placeholders:

    &FNAME& for the first name

    &LNAME& for the last name

    &ENAME& for name formatting

    The names are determined on the basis of the appropriate infotype in Personnel Administration.

    If you want blank characters to be displayed before or after a placeholder, enter an underscore '_' at the appropriate position.

    Example: "Happy Birthday_&FNAME&_&LNAME&!" could result in the following greeting: "Happy Birthday Mary Smith!".
