You use this customizing activity to specify conditions for the various crawler actions. These conditions are then applied when sending the data collected by the crawlers in the index queue to the search index.

For example, you can specify a time or a number of entries. Once this value has been reached, the index queue sends the data to the search index.

The overview screen displays the different crawler actions.

Select an entry and then choose Details. On the Details screen, use the parameters Schedule Time and Schedule Max. Documents to specify the conditions that the index queue uses to transfer your data to the search index.

  • Schedule Time

In the parameter Schedule Time, you can specify a time interval as a condition. This interval determines how often the index queue transfers your data to the search index.

In the text field, enter the time interval using the following format: ALL-<h>:<min>.

    Examples:

    All-0:30
Indexing of documents starts every 30 minutes

    All-3:30
Indexing of documents starts every three and a half hours.

  • Schedule Maximum Documents

In the parameter Schedule Maximum Documents, enter as a condition the number of documents to be collected in the index queue. Once the specified number is reached, the documents are transferred to the search index.

  • Transmit Bulk Size

In the parameter Transmit Bulk Size, enter the maximum number of documents to be transferred to the search index at the specified times.

  • Synchronize Bulk Size

In the parameter Synchronize Bulk Size, enter the number of intervals after which the queue server should start the optimization of the search index.

While optimization is running, the queue server does not trigger any more indexing. Indexing is paused until optimization is completed.
