Use

In this IMG activity, you specify the parameters that define which constraints apply to the compliance check and for which constraints the compliance check is to be performed.

Note the following:

  • If you are using the TREX search engine and a search engine index already exists, you have to trigger full indexing of the index manually in transaction SES_ADMIN every time you change a parameter or add a new one.
  • If you delete a parameter, you have to adjust the set of rules and the mapping table of the set of rules accordingly.
  • If you add a parameter, you also have to adjust the set of rules and extend the mapping table of the set of rules to include the corresponding characteristic.
  • If you change the characteristic assigned to a parameter, you have to change the mapping table of the set of rules accordingly.

Requirements

You have successfully completed the activities Set Up Constraints and Set Up Technical Parameters.

You have assigned the relevant characteristics to the value assignment types for constraints and results.

Standard settings

Activities

Create the required parameters and assign characteristics that are either phrase-enabled or have defined fixed values.

Note

The USAGE parameter is a fixed parameter. When you create this parameter, you can display and change the usage on the initial screen of the compliance check. Do not assign a characteristic to this parameter.
