Use

Using the interfaces (BAPIs) to the Document Management System (DMS), EH&S can use Knowledge Provider (KPro) to store reports and report templates outside the SAP system. This reduces the memory capacity load on the SAP database. You can specify for each document type whether you want to use KPro. When you activate storage with KPro, all new documents are stored in the corresponding storage system.

This IMG activity contains the information you require to set up Customizing for archiving reports and report templates with KPro.

Requirements

You have edited the environment parameter REPORT_DMS_SUPPORT.

You have run the report program DMS_KPRO_CONVERT.

Activities

Check the described settings in the IMG activities listed below:

  1. Specify a storage category for KPro integration.
  2. You can choose any key and description for it.
  3. Select the storage category for KPro integration and choose Details.
  4. Specify a document area in the Document Area field, such as DMS.
  5. Specify the content repository for KPro in the Content Rep. field.
  6. Save your entries.

  1. Select a document type and choose Details.
  2. Make sure that the Use KPro indicator is set.

    Do not set the indicator for document types that you do not want to migrate into KPro. Leave the indicator set if it is set following migration into KPro.

  3. Save your entries.
