Use
This IMG activity describes the Customizing settings that must be made in other components of the SAP component Environment, Health and Safety (EH&S) so that you can create the reports prescribed by the US Superfund Amendments and Reauthorization Act (SARA).
Standard settings
Default settings are shipped.
Activities
Check the following Customizing settings and adjust them if necessary:
- In Customizing for Basic Data and Tools under Specify Environment Parameters, check whether the following environment parameters exist and assign them values if necessary:
- Check whether a value assignment type was specified in the environment parameter IHS_HAZ_AMNT_HAZARD_CAT_PROP, which was created in accordance with the IMG activity Set Up Value Assignment Type for Hazard Classification.
- In Customizing for Basic Data and Tools under Check Identification Listing, check whether the identification listing D_SARA exists and adapt it to your requirements if necessary. This identification listing controls which identifiers are output for each determined hazardous substance by the report program REHS_SARA31X that creates the SARA reports.
- In the CAS Number column the report program outputs the identifier for position 1.
- In the Chem. Name column the report program outputs the identifier for position 2.
- In the CAS Cat. column the report program outputs the identifier for position 3.
- The report program ignores all higher positions. If you want other identifiers to be output, you can adapt the output to your requirements using the SAP enhancement EHSSARA (see Develop Enhancement for Output of SARA Reports).
If the identification listing D_SARA does not exist or contains no values, the system uses the following identifiers:

- Check in Customizing for Industrial Hygiene and Safety under Specify Measurement Items whether the following entries exist:
- Specify Measured/Reference Value Category:
- - DAV (Daily Average)
- - DMX (Daily Maximum)
- - DOS (Days on Site)
- Specify Amount Categories: TIM (Time) for dimension TIME
- Each agent type (for example, REAL_SUB) that is to be listed in the SARA reports must be assigned to the amount category TIM.
These settings are required for the report program REHS_HAZARD_AMNT_DET that determines the hazardous substance quantities of environmentally relevant materials for the SARA reports.
