Use

In this IMG activity, you set up the Remote Function Call (RFC) destination in the SAP system for the EH&S management server.

Activities

  1. From the SAP Easy Access screen, choose Tools -> Administration -> Administration -> Network -> RFC Destinations (transaction SM59).

    The Configuration of RFC Connections screen appears.

    Note:
    Alternatively you can call the function in EH&S service administration by choosing Environment -> RFC Destination.

  2. Choose Edit -> Create.

    The RFC Destination screen appears. Enter the following data:

    • RFC destination: We recommend you structure the name as follows:
      • EHS_MGMT_<computer name of server>
    • Connection type: T
      • Connection type T stands for TCP/IP connections.
    • Gateway options
      • If your SAP system comprises a number of application servers, you must specify under Gateway Options the gateway under which the EH&S management server has registered itself.
    • Description: Document your RFC destination.
  3. Confirm your entries.
  4. On the Technical Settings tab page, set the Registered Server Program indicator in the Activation Type screen area.
  5. In the Registered Server Program screen area, enter the PROGID entry from the SAPRFC.INI of the corresponding EH&S management server in the Program ID field.

  6. Save your entries.
