Use
In the value assignment types, you can enter values on the Value Assignments tab page in a value assignment table. In this IMG activity you specify which fields of a value assignment type are to be displayed in the table and how the data is to be displayed.
Requirements
- Under Specify Value Assignment Types you have set up the value assignment types you need for assigning values to specifications.
- Under Specify User-Defined Text Types you have defined the required user-defined text types.
Activities
For each field of a value assignment type to which you want to assign values in the value assignment table, you must create an entry in this IMG activity. You must do this for all value assignment types whose fields you want to assign values to in the value assignment table.
Note:
All the value assignment types in the standard system are set up for use in table-based value assignment. Therefore you must create the respective entries for all value assignment types that you want to use.
Proceed as follows to create the necessary entries:
- Choose Create Entries for the Value Assignments and create table entries for all existing value assignment types.
- Choose Set Up Table-Based Value Assignment and check the entries created. Change these if necessary.
For more information, see the documentation for the program RC1TCG11_02.
Note:
The table entries created are not automatically placed in a transport request, meaning they must be manually added to a transport once the program has been run if you want to transport them to other systems. For more information, see SAP Library for the General Application Functions (CA-GTF) component under Extended Table Maintenance -> Editing a Transport Request -> Including Table Entries in a Transport Request.
