Use
In this Customizing activity, depending on the status, you define:
- The system response for identifiers and value assignment instances whose active usage corresponds with a status entry
- The value assignment types that must be edited before a status can be changed
In addition to the statuses that are delivered in the standard, you can edit your own statuses that you defined in the Customizing activity Check and Extend Status Profiles.
Depending on the sequence in the status network (see below), you can assign the statuses in the header data of a specification to the usages required.
For example, to forbid changes to data of value assignments and identifiers that have the usage PUBLIC/DE, create the following status entry in the header data of the relevant specification:
Rating ValACat ValArea Status
PUBLIC REGION DE Released
Note:
In this Customizing activity, you can use the assignment of internal keys for the status descriptions via the input help for the Status field.
The following statuses are standard:
- I0570 IP In process
- I0571 FR For release
- I0590 NC Noncritical change
- I0600 RE Released
The key for your own statuses begins with E*.
Defining system response
You can specify which status:
- Is used as the initial status
- Permits changes to the relevant data
- Permits the generation of the relevant data on reports
- Generates a warning if the relevant data is edited
Assigning value assignment types
Depending on the specification type, you can assign any value assignment types to each status.
In SAP Environment, Health and Safety, you can use the customer exit Develop Enhancement for Status Checks to control, for example, which value assignment types must be edited for a particular status before this status can be assigned. The check is included as sample source code in the customer exit (see also function module C142_USAGE_VALUATION_CHECK). This allows you to ensure that data that has the status Released and is therefore available for reports, has been edited completely.
Assigning a default person responsible
In the Customizing activity Specify Authorization Groups, depending on the authorization group, you can enter a user name as the default person responsible (see Person Responsible).
Defining a default setting for status entries
In Customizing you can enter a default setting for the status entries for a specification. For this you must specify a usage profile for the value assignment type Status assignment (ESTST) in the IMG activity Specify Value Assignment Types. If a specification does not have any status entries, the system generates a list from the combinations of each status and the usages for the profile. This however is not displayed on the Status tab page. The list is taken into account by the SAP System until you have explicitly entered new status entries on the Status tab page.
Authorization check
To edit a status entry, you must have the following authorizations:
- Authorization to edit usages (rating/validity area):
Authorization object C_SHES_TDU
- Authorization to use the status
Authorization object C_EHSB_STA with EHS_OBJTYP = RH
- Authorization to perform status change old status -> new status
Authorization object C_SHES_TST
Standard settings
The following status network is included in the standard system (to display the network correctly, set the SAP system to display in SAPscript):
-> K1 <-> K2 <-> ... -> FR <-> RE <-> NC
| | |
IP <-------------------------------------
IP In process
K1, K2, ... User status
FR For release
RE Released
NC Noncritical change
Note: The SAP system inserts customer-defined user statuses between the statuses IP and FR. You can define the next statuses yourself within the K* statuses.
Note: You may not delete system statuses. Delete only your own user status.
Activities
- Call the IMG activity and check the default entries.
- Set the indicator for your own statuses.
- If necessary, depending on the specification type, assign the value assignment types to the appropriate status that have to be edited before the status may be assigned.
