Use

With this IMG activity you assign characteristics in the specification database to the hazardous materials table (database table MGEF) and transfer hazardous substance data to this table.

Requirements

You must use the specification database from the SAP Environment, Health and Safety component.

Activities

  1. Double-click Conversion of Characteristics to Table Fields to select it and specify the relationships between the characteristics and hazardous materials table fields.
  2. Choose Value Conversion and assign field values to individual characteristic values as required.
  3. Save your entries and go back.
  4. Double-click Hazardous Substance Collective Filling to select it and then select the environmentally relevant data from the specification database that you want to convert. You can select one or a number of data records and trigger automatic filling from the specification database for these records.

    Note:

    5. For this activity you need authorization for the transaction VM04. You should only use this transaction for your Customizing activities and not in the application.
  5. Check whether:
    • The data from the specification database was converted correctly to the application table
    • The data from the specification database was imported correctly into the application table
    • All nondefined phrases, phrase values, successfully imported specifications and so on were logged correctly
