Use

In this IMG activity, you define the number ranges for the keys of the following objects:

  • CVD_DDBID        Report Shipping Order Bundles
  • CVD_DDOID        Initial Shipping Orders
  • CVD_DDPID        Report Shipping Order Packages
  • CVD_EVENT        Events
  • CVD_JOBID        Processing Cycles
  • CVD_LOGID        Report Shipping Orders
  • CVD_PARID        Parameter-Value Table
  • ESN_ADDID        Bundling of ADD Entries

There are two types of number assignment:

  • Internal number assignment

The SAP system automatically assigns a sequence number from the number range interval that you have specified.

  • External number assignment

You must specify a number from the permitted number range interval.

Requirements

You need authorization for the number range objects given above to define the number ranges for the keys of the WWI report templates. This is checked in authorization object S_NUMBER.

Standard settings

Number ranges are predefined in the SAP standard settings.

Activities

  1. Take note of the SAP-predefined number keys.
  2. Change or delete the number ranges contained in the SAP standard system, as required.
  3. Specify the internal and external number ranges with number range intervals.

Notes for transport

You transport number range objects as follows:

Choose Interval -> Transport in the accounting document Number Range screen.

All intervals for the selected number range object are deleted in the target system first. After the import, only the intervals you export are present. The number statuses are imported with their values at the time of export.

Dependent tables are not transported or converted.
