Use

In this IMG activity, you maintain the mapping between the Global Location Numbers (GLN) and the SAP objects. You can then refer to the respective GLN of an SAP object in all relevant processes for procurement, sales, delivery, and invoicing.

The system currently supports mapping for the objects listed in the table below:

    SAP Object    GLN

Customer Objects    Purchasing Organization    EKORG

    Plant    PLANT

Vendor Objects    Sales Organization    VKORG

    Shipping point    OSP

Requirements

Standard settings

Activities

  1. In the R/3 Object with ILN field, select the required object using F4.
  2. In the Key of R/3 Object with ILN field, select the object values using F4.

    Note

    If you do not enter the GLN in the International Location Number field, the system assigns it automatically.

  3. In the International Location Number field, enter the GLN.
  4. Choose Enter.

The system validates your inputs and displays the errors, if any. The validation algorithm checks if the:

  • Organizational unit that you entered, exists
  • Key of the organizational unit that you entered, exists
  • GLN that you entered is numeric; this is applicable only if you entered the GLN manually
  • GLN prefix and check digit are correct
  • Combination of organizational unit and organizational unit key correspond to a unique GLN
  • GLN is assigned to a unique organizational unit and organizational unit key combination; in this case the system displays only a warning message, if required   

  1. Choose Save.
