Use

In this IMG activity, you maintain the types of the Global Trade Item Number (GTIN) variants and assign a sequence to them.

GTIN variant types can be used in condition tables and can be filled in during maintenance of condition records. You can use them to control the order in which the condition records for GTIN mapping are applied.

Standard settings

Activities

  1. Check if the standard values P (Promotion) and S (Standard) are adequate to fulfil the requirements.
  2. If necessary, maintain further GTIN variant types and enter a description.
  3. For every GTIN variant type, enter a unique sequence.
  4. Choose Save.

Example

In a group of condition records for GTIN variant types S (Standard) and P (Promotional), if the sequences of P and S are 1 and 2 respectively, then the records for GTIN variant type P have a higher priority.
