Use
In this IMG activity, you maintain determination procedures for Global Trade Item Number (GTIN) Mapping.
The determination procedure defines the condition types that must be used during the determination process. The sequence of condition types is defined using the classification properties, Step and Counter. While executing the determination process, the system processes the condition types in the sequence of these properties.
Note
The system stops GTIN mapping as soon as it finds a condition record. If the system finds several condition records for the same access, it uses the condition record having the highest priority.
Requirements
You have completed maintenance of the condition types.
Standard settings
Activities
Check if you can use the determination procedures that are available in the standard system. If not, then create a new determination procedure as described below.
Note
Do not change standard determination procedures delivered by SAP. If you define your own determination procedure, then begin its name with the letters Y or Z; SAP reserves these letters for customers.
- Create a new determination procedure, or copy a similar determination procedure and change it according to your requirements.
- Specify the following for the new determination procedure:
- An alphanumeric name that is up to six characters in length and begins as specified above
- A textual description for the determination procedure
- Specify the condition types in the sequence of their usage.
- Choose Save.
