Use
In this IMG activity, you maintain condition tables for Global Trade Item Number (GTIN) mapping. You use the condition tables to determine the field combination of condition records.
Requirements
You have verified that the field catalog contains all fields that are required to create the condition tables for GTIN mapping.
Standard settings
Activities
Check if you can use the condition tables that are available in the standard system. If not, then create a new condition table as described below.
Note
You can specify the name of a new condition table using any number ranging from 501 to 999. If you do not enter a number, the system automatically assigns a sequential number to the condition table.
- Enter a name for the new condition table.
- Specify if you want to create the table with or without a validity period.
- Enter a description for the condition table.
- Select the required fields (from the list of the permitted fields in the field catalog) for the condition table.
- Generate the new condition table.
- Choose Save.
Note
GTIN and EAN/UPC are equivalent terms.
When you create a new condition table for GTIN mapping, the system chooses the two fields, GTIN and GTIN Variant Type, as default fields. You must:
- Never remove the GTIN field
- Remove the GTIN Variant Type field only if it is not required for the distinction of condition records
