Use
In this Customizing activity, you can create two character codes for offset types. You can select if the offset type should be displayed as a default value for one of the offset fields. When creating new documents with linear data (such as functional location master data, equipment master data, maintenance orders, and maintenance notifications), you can change this value as required.
After entering the offset type code, the system automatically creates a default documentation object in the respective field. You can choose the pushbutton next to the Documentation Object field which leads you to the documentation maintenance transaction SE61. This transaction enables you to create documentation for every offset type. The system then displays this documentation when you choose the F1 Help for the offset value field.
