In this step you can allow the multiple use of a serial number in different item categories of a sales document.
Example
A pooling order (sales order modeling the business case of providing spare parts to another airline at given locations to support once-off-failures) contains one item for issuing a spare part to the customer and another item for receiving this part back from the customer. If the multiple use indicator is set in Customizing, the same serial number can be used for both item categories to identify the part.
