Use
In this IMG activity you determine the attributes and the attribute hierarchy for the product category line of credit (350). The system then makes these available to you when you create a product.
Note
If you are in a client where client-independent Customizing is not permitted, you can neither change, nor delete, nor copy attributes of your product.
Requirements
Standard settings
Attributes and an attribute hierarchy exist for the product category line of credit (350) in the standard SAP system.
Warning
Do not make any changes to the settings, or delete any of the attributes provided by SAP, for the following reasons:
- If you make changes to the attributes for your product, you will change settings that influence the entire functional scope of a product category. During an upgrade, your settings would be overwritten by the standard system.
- If you delete attributes, this can result in the system crashing when you create and process loan contracts.
Activities
- With your own attributes, you can do the following:
- create them from fields in the structure VDARL
- change them
- delete them
- assign them in the attribute hierarchy at the same node level or below
If you do not want to make existing attributes available in the standard system when you create a product, assign them to the Attributes Not Used node in the attribute hierarchy.
Note
Each object in the hierarchy is an attribute. This means that you also have to create the hierarchy nodes, which are only used to structure the hierarchy, as attributes.
- You can copy attribute hierarchies from a source client to the client you are in.
Note
You can only transport attribute hierarchies together with attributes to another system if you are in a client where client-dependent and client-independent Customizing is permitted.
