Use
In this activity, you create data views that you can use to set up typical, frequently recurring reports for extracting data.
Data views are most required if you transfer data to externals.

Standard settings
Activities
Enter a name for the data view and choose either Create, Change or Display.
The detail screen for the data view is divided into the following three tab pages:
- Attributes
This tab page shows which user changed the settings and when. In addition, you can see which program was generated automatically for creating the data view. If no program is displayed here, either it will be generated with the first call, or no program is required. If you only want to release the data view for certain users, then enter an authorization group.
- Segments and Joins
On this tab page, you specify the segments that are to be used for creating the data view. If you enter more than one segment, there needs to be an appropriate relationship between the segments. (For more information, see the Maintain Relationships Between Segments IMG activity.)
- View Fields
On this tab page, you specify the fields that you want the data view to contain. You can choose from all of the fields of the segments that have been specified. You can indicate the fields that you want to appear as potential selection fields on the selection screen when the data view is executed.
