Use

In this IMG activity you can activate the assignment of contact persons.

You activate assignment if both of the following statements are true: Contact person attributes are to be processed in the business partner or in the customer master record and you want to assign attributes to ensure that the contract person is synchronized as part of customer integration.

You can synchronize the following attributes for the contact person:

• Department numbers
• Functions
• Authority
• VIP Indicator

Requirements

You have defined the attributes for the contact persons for the business partner and the customer master record as required for Customer/Vendor Integration in the following IMG activities:

Customer master record:

• Define Standard Departments
• Define Contact Person Functions
• Define Authority
• Define VIP Indicator

Business partner:

• Define Departments
• Define Functions
• Define Authority
• Define VIP Entries

Standard settings

The indicator is not set in the standard system.

Activities

1. If you want to synchronize attributes for the contact person as part of Customer/Vendor Integration, then set the indicator in this IMG activity.
2. Assign the attributes in the following IMG activities:
• Assign Department Numbers for Contact Person
• Assign Functions of Contact Person
• Assign Authority of Contact Person
• Assign VIP Indicator for Contact Person

Example

You are using Customer/Vendor Integration and want to synchronize attributes for the contact person. If you activate the assignment of contact person attributes in this IMG activity and set assignment for the attributes, then the attributes for the contact person entered in business partner processing will also be updated in customer processing and vice versa.
