Activities

If you want to allow or prevent changes to the Repository and cross-client Customizing, then you can use this activity to set the system change option.
You can use the global setting to specify whether objects in the Repository and in cross-client Customizing are modifiable or not.

There is also another setting for Repository objects. Each Repository object is in a namespace or name range, and in a software component.
To make a Repository object modifiable, you can set the following to Modifiable:

  • the global setting
  • the namespace or name range
  • the software component of the object

Further notes

SAP recommends that you set the global setting in a production system to Not modifiable.
