Use
Input help is available for certain fields in the People-Centric UI. Values selected via the input help are displayed in the People-Centric UI as long as the field names in the calling program and the input help are the same. However, often the field name of the screen structure in which the input help is called does not correspond with the field name for the screen structure of the input help iteself.
In this activity, you can adapt settings for such cases.

Activities
- Enter the name of the Field group, and choose New Entries.
- Enter the view and the Field Name from which the input help is started.
- In the Results Field, enter the name of the field of the calling application that should contain the selected value in the input help.
- Enter an Input Help.
- Enter the name of the application called under Hit List that contains the value to be transferred.
Hidden Fields
In some cases, a key value should be transferred from the input help to the calling application (for example a GUID). These keys do not appear on the interface in order not to reduce its user-friendliness. However, there are cases in which direct transfer of such key fields is required. It is possible to transfer these hidden fields. The fields should not be displayed in either the calling application nor in the input help. The data can be transferred in the following cases:
The hidden fields belong to each of the field groups
The hidden fields are assigned in this IMG Activity.
Example
In the field group for Opportunities, there are input fields for first and last names. In order that an input field for first and last names is displayed, you link the field name for last names with the field group. First, enter the name of the field group to be maintained (for example, OPP_EMPL). You can then maintain the table as follows:
Field group View Field Name Result Field Field in Hit List
OPP_EMPL Last Name First Name BP_name1
OPP_EMPL Last Name Last Name BP_name2
Here, the field name is the field from which the input help is called. The contents of input help field that is listed in the hit list column, (for example BP_name1), is copied to the result field (for example, first name) of the calling application when the data record is selected.
