Use

In this activity, you define the precise structure of the screen for an application.

When you call an application using the browser, the main controller first looks at the data that has been entered in the table. You make settings for the basic parameters, and define which screen elements (field groups, toolbar groups, search groups and so on) should be used in the screen structure.

  1. Choose an application via the input help. You assign the various parameters to this application as follows:
  2. Choose New Entries.
  3. Make the appropriate entries. The most important fields are as follows:

    View
    Enter a view if the settings should only be valid in this view.

    Version

    Select of of the Versions you have created.

    Event
    Event that should be triggered when the application is called.

    Item
    Screen area in which the application should be displayed.

    Screen Variant
    The screen variant enables the system to call optional variants.

    Screen Element Type
    Subprograms that are called by the main controller. Defines in which form the data should be displayed.

    • Results list of search performed
    • Results list as hierarchy
    • List sorted as a hierarchy in the upper screen area
    • Results list as hierarchy with selection
    • List sorted as a hierarchy with selection fields
    • Results list with multiple selection

      Field Group
      Choose a field group that you have defined.

      Toolbar Group
      Choose a toolbar group that you have defined.

      Tab Page Group
      Choose a tab page group that you have defined.

      Search Group
      Choose a search group that you have defined.

      Docu Class
      You can link documentation with the People-Centric UI.
      This is usually a Knowledge Warehouse document. The document class is IWB_EXTHLP.
      Object ID
      Enter the logical information object (LOIO).
      Find out the logical information object.

  1. Choose the current context in KW.
  2. Call the info object list for the folder in which the info object is stored to which you want to link the application.
  3. Select the info object and choose Goto-> Web browser.
    The selected info object is displayed in the Web browser.
  4. You can find the logical information object (LOIO) after the character string IWB_EXTHLP~. It consists of combination of 32 letters and characters.
  5. Copy the LOIO to the clipboard.
