Use
You use this activity to assign the data required to generate a navigation link to an object type.
Input parameters for calculating the link are role, object type, and method. The result is a concrete portal URL calculated by using the ID Page/Service field.
The object type/method is assigned to a target URL dependent on the role. Two users with different roles but with the same object type/method combination can be directed to different target pages.
The Priority field is provided for the event that multiple roles are assigned to a user. If multiple entries fit a user, then the entry with the smallest value is chosen in the Priority field.
If the target of an object link in the navigation menu of the associated portal role is configured as not visible, you can use the Portal context field. Here, you make the entry to be highlighted in the role navigation menu.

Activities
- Choose New Entries.
- Use the input help to choose the role, object type, and method.
- Assign a priority no smaller than 10.
- Choose the correct implementation type.
In the event of a BSP application, you must fill the Application field, and the View field if necessary.
- In the ID Page/Service field, enter the URL of the page or service Portal Content Directory (PCD). The respective application is then highlighted in the navigation tree in the PC UI.
- In Portal context, enter the ID of the menu entry to be highlighted.
