Use
In this Customizing activity, you set up the communication between a WebDAV application that meets the Web-Based Distributed Authoring and Versioning standard and a cFolders or Project Management repository.
Note
The URL provides the essential information for communication between the WebDAV application and the WebDAV repository. It informs the WebDAV application about which cFolders or Project Management repository the objects are stored in. This URL applies to both cFolders and Project Management. It cannot contain any parameters. If you use several clients, you have to use a URL alias; see the example at the end of the document.
Requirements
You created an external alias via Maintain Services (transaction SICF). For more information, see Solution Manager under Preparing the Integration with Virtual Rooms in the section entitled Creating an External Alias for the WebDAV Repository Manager.
Standard settings
Activities
The following settings are mandatory:
- Enter the URL as follows:
- <log>://<server>:<port><external_Alias>.
The external alias must start with a stroke (/). You created the external alias as described under Requirements.
- Show whether it is possible to access the cFolders repository and the Project Management repository via the WebDAV interface.
The following settings are optional:
- The User Name for Index Service setting is evaluated for communication with the Project Management repository.
- This user sees all the projects for which he or she has read authorization below the root node. All other users only see those projects in which they are participating and which have not yet been completed.
If you want to connect your Project Management repository to the search function in the SAP NetWeaver Portal (application component EP-KM-TRX), you have to map the user who carries out the indexing to the user you enter in this activity, in the portal.
- You can specify a refresh time (in seconds). Once this amount of time has passed, the database reads the buffered data in the cFolders or Project Management repository again.
- If you do not want the data that was buffered to be read by the database in a particular mode, do not make an entry here. This enhances the performance but does not update any data.
As is the case in the settings in the Maintenance of Services (SICF) transaction, an inactive mode is deleted after a certain amount of time and the buffered data is deleted with it.
Example
In this example, cp4100-webdav is an external URL alias that contains the client.
The URL could look like the following: https://pwdf0511.wdf.sap.corp:44331/cp4100-webdav
