Use
In this Customizing activity, you can define all parameters for a specific usage type that you want to use in a configurable parameters and formulas (CPF) formula.
For each parameter name entered, you can search for a referenced data type belonging to the data category needed.
Requirements
If you want to use your own data source routine, you must have defined it in Customizing activity Define Data Source Routine.
If you want to use a custom structure, you must have defined it in Customizing activity Define Custom Structure.
Standard settings
You cannot delete parameters that are already used in a formula.
Activities
To define a parameter, you select attributes as follows:
- The Referenced Data Type can be one of the following data type categories:
- C - Custom Structure
- E - CPF Elementary Data Type
- D - Data Element
- Data Source Routine: Once selected, the system checks the selected data source routine against the selected referenced data type.
Unless you make an entry in the parameter catalog, you must enter a parameter value manually in the document.
Example
If the data source routine retrieves a character string it cannot be assigned to a parameter with a numeric data type.
